Continuous Conferences are an experimental conference model supported by Digital University Foundation in which scholarly contributions can be submitted, evaluated, presented, and disseminated throughout a defined programme period rather than being restricted to a single annual conference date.
How It Works
- Submission — authors submit during an open submission period
- Initial Assessment — checked for relevance and basic requirements
- Review — appropriate editorial or peer review per the programme's published policy
- Acceptance — suitable contributions accepted for presentation
- Presentation & Discussion — through scheduled virtual sessions or other defined formats
- Publication — the approved scholarly version is prepared and published after applicable requirements are completed
What Triggers Publication?
Publication is not dependent on one universal conference date. A contribution becomes eligible for publication after completing the milestones specified by the particular programme — review, acceptance, presentation/discussion, required revision, and final editorial approval. The publication date recorded is the date its final scholarly version is formally published.
Volumes & Collections
Published contributions may subsequently be organized into annual proceedings volumes, thematic collections, or defined programme cycles, preserving bibliographic organization even though individual contributions may appear throughout the year.
