The Journal Indexing Readiness System (JIS) is a structured monitoring and advisory framework used by Digital University Foundation to help publishers assess, document, and improve the indexing readiness of scholarly journals — used for DUF-supported publications as well as offered to external publishers.

What JIS Supports

• Maintain journal identity and registration information, including ISSN and publisher details
• Review publication history, regularity, and continuity
• Track DOI, metadata, preservation, and discoverability requirements
• Assess editorial transparency, peer-review information, publication ethics, and author policies
• Record applications and publicly verifiable coverage/status across relevant abstracting, indexing, and discovery services
• Identify gaps that should be addressed before an application is considered

Where appropriate, DUF may also provide advisory assistance with preparing an application. Submission is made only through the official process of the relevant service.

Independent Indexing Decisions

JIS is not an indexing database and does not confer indexing status. Digital University Foundation does not guarantee inclusion in Scopus, Web of Science, DOAJ, PubMed/MEDLINE, or any other external service. Eligibility, evaluation, selection, coverage, and continuation are determined exclusively by the respective organizations.
