Digital University Foundation provides technical implementation and support services for Open Journal Systems (OJS) and Open Monograph Press (OMP), open-source scholarly publishing platforms developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP).

Open Journal Systems (OJS)

DUF's OJS services may include installation and initial configuration, hosting and server configuration, journal creation and platform configuration, theme customization, workflow configuration, plugin installation, DOI and metadata integration, backup and recovery, version upgrades and security maintenance, and migration from existing installations.

Open Monograph Press (OMP)

DUF's OMP services may include installation and hosting, press and publication configuration, submission and editorial workflow setup, metadata configuration, ISBN and DOI workflow support, theme customization, and technical troubleshooting.

Standalone Technical Service

OJS/OMP Services are deliberately separated from DUF's broader JMS and BMS offerings. Organizations that already possess their own editors, reviewers, publishing policies, and operational teams may engage DUF solely for the technical infrastructure and platform support described here. Organizations requiring broader publishing-workflow assistance may instead use JMS or BMS.

Platform Ownership

OJS and OMP are open-source software developed and maintained by the Public Knowledge Project. Digital University Foundation does not claim ownership or authorship of these platforms.

Institutional Control

When DUF implements OJS or OMP for an external organization, editorial ownership and scholarly decision-making remain with that organization unless a separate agreement expressly provides otherwise. Technical administration by DUF does not give DUF control over peer-review decisions, acceptance or rejection of manuscripts, or editorial independence.
